Best cities for fashion
If your passion is fashion and you’re looking to take a trip to a city known for its couture there is one place that is the epicentre of high fashion – New York City. Manhattan is synonymous with chic clothes and the famous Madison Avenue is host to some of the most luxurious stores in the world
While New York grabbed the top spot in a study conducted by the Los Angeles-based consulting group Global Language Monitor, two others ranked just below. Los Angeles was high on the list American cities for fashion, and Rome and Paris slid into the second and third spots. A surprising entry to the list is Sin City itself – Las Vegas. What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but it’s fashionable trends are getting out of the party city.
While they did not break the top 10, landing in the top 25 were Berlin, Shanghai, Moscow, Dubai, Shanghai, Australia’s Sydney and Melbourne, and South America’s Santiago, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Palo, and Buenos Aires. Krakow, Poland just made the cut at number 25, and it made the list because of its growing standing as a centre of neo-Bohemian trends.
Here is the exclusive list, which is ranked by Global Language Monitor’s Predictive Quantities Index. The study follows keywords and phrases that appear in print and electronic media, the Internet and across the vast blogosphere.
